NEW HAVEN POLICE ANNOUNCE $50,000 REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING ARREST AND CONVICTION IN CITY’S 1ST HOMICIDE OF 2007
(10/11/2007) NEW HAVEN- The life of 23-year-old Terrance Driffin was cut short on the evening of May 9th when he suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. Today, New Haven Police and Driffin’s family announced a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the City’s first homicide this year.
Funding for the reward comes from the State and is made available to an individual who provides sufficient information to successfully arrest and convict a person responsible for a crime.
“We’re asking the community to come forth and provide any information they have regarding this incident,” said Police Chief Francisco Ortiz. “We would hope that it wouldn’t take reward money to get someone to come forward but as with any crime in the City we want to seek justice here. The family wants to see their son’s murdered brought to justice and that’s what we’re committed to achieving.”
